- Did you know plants are an important part of our regular daily basis, but the problem is that our air is getting more and more polluted so plants can't grow as much, so the air can't be as fresh? -Did you know that if the air pollution isn't controlled by 2030 the air will be so poisonous that it will be necessary to use a oxygen kit to breath properly? - Did you know that animal habitats can be destroyed because the plants can't grow without fresh air? - Did you know that less than 1% of the world has safe air pollution levels? - Did you know there is 7 main types of pollution? Water Pollution, Air Pollution, Soil Pollution, Thermal Pollution, Radioactive Pollution, Noise Pollution, And Light Pollution?

 Hi! Today i'm going to talk about trees. Trees are important to have fresh air every day. If we didn't have trees we would not have fresh air, and have trouble breathing. The problem is that more and more people are cutting down our trees and polluting our air, so here is a way we can help. Another challenge. When summer comes, plant a tree.  Hi guys! I just went for a garbage pickup and here are some of the things I found. When you go out, leave a comment on what stuff you found, your name, age and the weirdest things you found.  My most common thing I found was cans, plastic bottles and wrappers.  The biggest thing I found was a full trash bag, and tote bags. The weirdest and grossest thing I found was two pairs of underwear.  😟 Yep I said it underwear 🤢  I also found so many cigarette butts, which there is no point in picking up because they’re so tiny, and there’s so many. In total I picked up five bags of garbage including the garbage bag I found. I hope you had fun! Bye!

 It's Earth Day! I know some of you have seen my other post about the earth day project, and if you haven't, go see that now. So, I hope you will be able to go out for a community pick up because I know I am going to try to go out soon. Before you go out, write a list about the places you want to pick up trash in because some places have more then others. Please write a comment on where you went, your name, location and how many bags of garbage you picked up. If you only pick up a few items of garbage that's okay too. Have fun!

 Hi! I hope you are all excited for earth day, because it’s this Monday! Earth day is all about caring for the earth. On earth day I have another challenge, a fun project. I want you to go for a trash pickup, because most of the snow here has melted, and there is trash EVERYWHERE and it’s gross. So, go out and try and do a pick up on earth day, and write a comment on what places you picked up some trash. Have fun! Bye!😃

 Today is a bit of a different post. I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who have seen my posts, and I will continue working on this project, and educating you about litter. And thank you to my class and family for helping me. Bye!  🙂 

As you know, there is many animals species  that are endangered from litter and climate change. In this post I am going to make a list of endangered marine animals, why they are endangered, and how we can help them. Click here for a website to learn more - Sea turtles. Sea turtles are endangered because of plastic bags. They mistake them for jelly fish, and eat them. they also get stuck in them. We can help by using reusable bags instead of plastic ones. - Dolphins. Dolphins are endangered because of human activities. We can help by reducing the use of plastic and other harmful products. -  Polar Bears. Polar Bears are endangered because of climate change. We can help by reducing climate change. We can reduce climate change by using less electricity, like turning of lights when we don’t need them, ride your bike instead of driving your car and reduce reuse recycle and repair whenever possible.  Now I want to talk about how littering can affect the environment. Littering is actually a modern problem. Littering can really hurt animals, such as Turtles, Sea Birds, Sea lions and so many others. When the weather will allow us we are going to try and go out for a clean up around the block, and maybe you can too!  Hi! My name is Nellie! I am 9 years old and I live in Newfoundland, Canada. My class is participating in the Genius hour project and I was inspired by visits to educational centers such as The Champneys Aquarium and Clearwater Aquarium on how littering can effect the environment and animals all around the world.
